Insert Inventory!

The other day, I decided I was going to buy a 'value pack' of paper for my Filofax so I could fill up my new personal Chameleon and start using it more. Not quite sure what for yet, but that's another post I guess!!! (Hope Hubby didn't just read that...I'll be on the naughty step again...) :-/

After hunting high and low, I couldn't seem to find one of the value packs of mixed coloured plain and ruled paper. I didn't want to pay postage by buying online so I decided to go through all my various inserts and sort out exactly what I had before buying any more.

Well!!! Little did I know I had so much. The following pics are my collection of various personal inserts plus some diaries, although I have more diaries upstairs and a rather large collection of mini and pocket inserts there too!

I use a wooden box to store my stationery/diary/Filofax items downstairs, although I do have a drawer upstairs that contains diaries, Filofaxes and different-sized inserts that are not in use (ie: my minis and pockets). My personals, compacts and slimlines as well as pens, stickers and label maker are all in my wooden stationery box.

So I sorted out all my inserts, put them all into categories and then labelled up an envelope for each category.

I now realise that I don't need to buy any more paper for quite a while! All my Filofaxes are empty now (apart from my main personal).  This contains my weekly and daily 2012 diaries from January to present and my DPP diary for the rest of the year, except for the next week which stays in my slimline that I carry with me all the time.

It's amazing how many inserts you can acquire without realising it!  But I guess that's what happens when you have an addiction to buying Filofaxes...

A quick Stationery Spy #2

Hello all!

Just a quick note to let you know that I spotted a couple of absolute BARGAINS in Tesco today.  Pocket Domino Filofaxes in Ultra Violet for £4.50 and Personal Domino Filofaxes, also in Ultra Violet, for £4.75!!!  WOW!  They also had lined paper reduced from £2.25 to 56p.

I actually thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw these prices, but once the staff managed to lift me off the floor, get me to a chair and pass me a glass of water, I started breathing normally again and eventually came round.  Phew!  ;-)

Anyone else seen any bargains (either in store or online) this week?  Feel free to comment and share!

UPDATE: I spotted yesterday (Friday) that Filofax UK are having a 'sale' - use the code JULYTREAT to get 20% off binders (only) until 26 July at 4pm.

Must. Not. Order. Any. More. Oh heck...

Stationery Spy #1

Hello all!

What better way to kill some time than to have a wander around the shops looking for bargains???

TK Maxx currently have some delightful gingham journals with pen loop and pen included at some absolutely brilliant prices.  The medium A5 sizes are reduced from £23 to £6.99 and the small A6 sizes are reduced from £18 to £4.99.  They really are beautiful and have perforated pages, useful for A5 Filofax users perhaps???  The journals have fabric covers and lovely, good quality paper, and the colours available at my local store were purple, turquoise, pink and black.  I think maybe it's worth buying a small one just for the pen!

They are also selling some lovely Cross ballpoint pens that have been reduced from £25 to £9.99 - colours available appeared to be blue, black and silver.

As well as stationery, my local TK Maxx is currently selling a large range of Fossil bags in brown, green, purple and floral patterns.  I was very tempted!

Next - Asda Living.  My daughter has been nattering for a Filofax 'just like Esme's' (oh dear . . . what have you started Esme?!), so I'm currently bidding for a similar mini on eBay.  As a result of this, when I spotted some colourful mini gel pens for the bargain sum of £1.50, I just couldn't resist.  They are small and cute and colourful, what more could a little girl with a mini Filofax want???

Talking of pens and Filofaxes, Asda Living are also selling a pack of two (black and blue) Frixion pens for £4.

Now I don't know if any of you are anywhere near Batley in West Yorkshire (I'm not really but I am in West Yorkshire), but I hopped along there yesterday too because I needed a new purse, and they have a discounted Radley/Tula bag section.  The zip pull on my current purse came off, so I went along to The Mill at Batley with the intention of buying a new one, and this is what I got:

It was half price at £10 and is a beautiful soft leather.  It's exactly the same as my previous one except my new one is a lovely deep raspberry pink and my previous one was black, with raspberry bits on it.  I love this style because poppers drive me crazy when they pop open if my purse is having a particularly 'full' moment.  It's also fairly small - I try not to carry too much coinage around with me and only really need my debit and credit cards plus my Matalan and Boots cards.  I carry my business cards, library cards, driving licence and stamps in my Filofax and any receipts I want to keep in there too.

Finally, check out this belter of a Filofax on eBay!  Never seen one of these before!

So, what stationery finds have you come across this week?
